December 19th, 2017

Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) Conference - 2019 edition - will take place in Bucharest. The decision of the OSGeo conference committee was announced on December 18th, 2017.

Bucharest wins over Seville’s Proposal and we are very excited that Romania will be the host of the Open Source geoCommunity.
Scientific research, open source geospatial software and its widespread use contribute significantly to the progress of the earth observation sector and society development at large.

Placed in the Central Eastern part of Europe, a global FOSS4G event will provide access to regional and wider OSGeo community.

For a couple of days, Bucharest and our local community - contributors, supporters and ambassadors - will demonstrate the knowledge and the passion that fire the people involved in this event.

The Bucharest event enjoys endorsements from important players in the EO sector: the European Space Industry, the Copernicus Support Office of the European Commission DG Grow, the Romanian Space Agency, the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies.

TERRASIGNA’s staff and contributors play a major role in this achievement and we are looking forward to this event!
