Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) Europe Conference is taking place these days in France - Paris, Marne-la-Vallée. FOSS4G conferences are organized under the patronage of Open Geospatial Consortium, and this edition is hosted by the Ecole Nationale des Sciences Géographiques, an established GIS university campus.
Between 18th and 22nd July, 2017 users and developers gather in order to share experiences and to advance the findings in using geospatial information.
Open Innovation for Europe - FOSS4G Europe 2017 aims to foster closer interactions amongst the European geospatial communities, support the collaborative development of open source geospatial software, and promote its widespread use.

On July 20th, our team will gather with the project partners, and will demonstrate a case study based on FOSS4G developments.
“C-TEP: satellite data exploitation platform developed entirely with FOSS software” is a platform created by an international consortium, and assigned by the European Space Agency.
Coastal Thematic Exploitation Platform (C-TEP) intents to bring the user closer to the data and tools. The users access the platform work environment that provides the data, tools, and resources required, as opposed to downloading, replicating, and exploiting the data “at home”.
The talk on Thursday, July 20th presents the technologies used to develop the online platform: high volume of satellite data is processed and analysed using data extraction, times-series analytics and fusion techniques for coastal environmental applications.
C-TEP service provide access to over 20 years of Earth Observation data, Near Real Time (NRT) EO data, non-space and multi-sensor processing tools.
